An Ambitious Vision for the Funeral Sector

Alexis Jubert, an engineer by training and a passionate entrepreneur, has just launched Seiven, a Rennes-based group bringing together seven brands specializing in the post-mortem industry. With a rich career spanning 20 years, Alexis Jubert now fulfills his ambition to offer a comprehensive range of services for funeral professionals, covering everything from body preservation to the creation of monuments. Light-heartedly referring to himself as an “undertaker,” he seeks to break taboos in a sector often shrouded in silence while fully committing to his mission of public service.

The Culmination of a 20-Year Journey

After graduating as an engineer from ECAM Lyon in 2000, Alexis Jubert chose an unconventional path to gain the experience needed for his aspirations. He began an international career and later joined a large corporation, spending 12 years advancing to the executive board and becoming a shareholder. In 2017, he took the helm of GPG Granit, a tombstone manufacturer generating €30 million in annual revenue. This initial success allowed him to develop a vision centered on social responsibility, respect for families, and personalized service.

A Thoughtful Diversification Strategy

To strengthen and sustain Seiven, Alexis Jubert pursued a strategy of diversification by acquiring Isofroid in July 2024, a major player in the post-mortem medical field. This acquisition expanded Seiven’s offerings to include equipment for morgues and forensic institutes. His goal? To build a robust group capable of withstanding economic challenges and anticipating future needs. By investing in various segments of the industry, he has created a resilient company that now employs around 100 people.

Innovation and Investment in R&D

With Seiven, Alexis Jubert emphasizes innovation as a key differentiator. Each year, the group allocates €1 million to research and development, focusing on digitizing and modernizing the industry. Among his initiatives are an interactive configurator for personalizing funeral monuments and advancements in autopsy and body preservation technology. The integration of artificial intelligence into Seiven’s tools is also underway, enhancing the group’s responsiveness to customer needs.

“Pushing boundaries” could well be the motto of this determined entrepreneur, who tirelessly works to make Seiven a sustainable and essential player in the post-mortem industry.
